This week more news of the sculpture exhibition at the Potlatch Club on February 28th – and tales of great food on Cupid’s Cay …..
The exhibition is for just one afternoon – from 2pm until 6pm on Saturday 28th – a week this coming Saturday. The bar will be open for drinks and probably some snacks – but everyone pays for them as they want them. There is no admission charge …..
There are over 40 original works by 4 artists. Imogene Walkine, Loretta Bonet , Dwayne Modder and Edrin Symonette.
The title of the exhibition is ‘The Space Between Words ‘ – and explores the elusive and the ephemeral via the physical world of contemporary sculpture. It sounds intriguing and we look forward to seeing what is there…. It is a real treat to have some beautiful and quality sculpture work to enjoy here on the island – don’t miss this opportunity !
Below are some great pictures of some of the works that will be in the show.

On a slightly less esoteric note we have had the guttering fitted at both houses this week – not normally something I would mention but the lengths are measured and then the mobile extruding machine pumps them out here on site. No joins to leak – brilliant !

Also very exciting this week is that the generator for The Jewel arrived. It was delivered by Dennis on a crane truck. I took some pictures of it but was too nervous to take any while it was being lifted off the truck ! I took Rudge to the beach and then took some more pictures of it on the ground …..

This week we went for a luscious dinner with Dan and Larry on the Cay. Both of them excelled themselves. Larry had set a beautiful table with black and pink as the color scheme. And Dan cooked a fabulous meal. He is a very good cook and always turns out a lovely meal but this one was extra good. He made a pasta with puttanesca sauce served with a super fresh salad. And then a pineapple upside down cake – as I am so fond of telling you I don’t have a sweet tooth but this cake was so very good. I didn’t leave a crumb…..

Okay friends – not a lot of writing today but plenty of pictures.
Special thoughts are with dear friend Philip whose lovely partner Jason died unexpectedly in his sleep last week. An absolute bolt from the blue for him – sending love and courage to Philip and Jason’s family.

Also in our thoughts – love going out to Nancy whose mother Barbara died this week at the age of 100.
