And the Colmans are on the move ! Sprawling Towers is sold and we have moved to Wykee Estates on the Caribbean side.
I wrote some time ago that Sprawling Towers was no longer the right sort of place for us to be anymore. It was way too large and I have been craving a smaller house with much less to take care of.
Well the timing was perfect – we have bought 2 small houses that Bob designed and built 16 years ago – still owned by the original client – Daniel from New York. As you can imagine we have a lot of plans for both of them to bring them up to a suitable standard for modern living.
We will live in one and eventually rent the other one out – but for the time being we are living in the 2 bedroom one while work goes on in the other one.

They are both exciting projects for us even though life at the moment is absolute chaos ! There is so much that I simply cannot find but isn’t it shocking just how much we can live without ….
We have got rid of such a lot – both before the move last Friday and since we moved in here but even so it is shocking just how much stuff is in endless boxes.
Both Rudge and Brian have adapted to the new place extremely well – I was more worried about Brian than Rudge – but she has been fantastic and is already doing a local walk with Rudge and I ….. She knows where she gets fed and that’s what is important.
People ask me if I was upset to leave Sprawling Towers but honestly we made some wonderful memories there and loved our time at the property but it was right to leave it and allow the lovely new owners to start making their memories in such a beautiful place. No regrets at all – just gratitude for all it gave us and I am thrilled that what we created there will go on to make many different people over the years happy and content.
I hadn’t mentioned anything about having agreed a sale as I just didn’t want to jinx anything – but now you will be privy to the trials and tribulations of renovation and extension !
Our other wonderful news is that we now have a beautiful big bouncing great grandson. Rudy was born on 4th July – he was an amazing 11 pounds – C section thankfully – and is simply scrumptious ! I cannot wait to visit the UK and be able to cuddle and squeeze him – maybe later in August ….

And so dear friends that’s it for this week – oh I just want to thank dear Eileen again – she delivered a fish pie for us on moving day so that I didn’t have to think about dragging us out to eat somewhere. Such a kind and thoughtful thing to do – hugely appreciated. I am tired beyond belief and running on adrenaline – but still making time for a massage with Kim in Tarpum Bay and Reiki with Monique. I know I have to take care of myself and keep my strength up ……
Take care and have a lovely weekend …..
