The Potlatch Club and Tippy’s have re-opened Plus Glo Good

Yes dear readers great news that both The Potlatch Club and Tippy’s have reopened for the new season. Also I hear 1648 has reopened as well……

We went to The Potlatch Club for Sunday lunch and it was delicious. They have a new executive chef who is contributing to the kitchen there but will also be running Sip Sip in Harbour Island when it reopens. This is owned by Hans Febles at Potlatch.

We met James Hollenbach – the chef – and had a very interesting chat with him. It is important in any field to be open to new learning experiences and we never know who we are going to learn from. Keeping an open mind and an open heart go some way to accepting that learning from others is not a criticism – it is an opportunity. The food we had was delicious – the lunch menu has not changed yet but sometime in the next couple of weeks there will be new additions. Right now Potlatch is closed for 2 back to back weddings. It will reopen next Wednesday.

James and me – I know linen is meant to be crumpled – but really ???

The team from Bhutan are back and making their magic at The Potlatch Club. They are such beautiful , kind and generous people – they are an inspiration……

I never tire of this dish – gambas ….

The Glo Good Foundation along with Lenny Kravitz are back in Gregory Town making their own kind of magic as well. They transform not just the smiles of people that they treat but their spirits as well. The dental clinic is a huge success and there are wonderful experts in their various fields giving the highest quality dental treatments.

Because of the move for us I have not managed to get up to Gregory Town to see for myself what is happening but I have seen a lot of the postings and it looks fabulous. The atmosphere looks just as invigorating and inspiring as it always has been and we thank them hugely for all the good they are doing……

The house move went really pretty well – it is exhausting of course. And I have no idea where a lot of things actually are – but we are just fine and are managing perfectly well. It is lovely to have some pictures on the wall and I am gradually creating a nice feel here.

A comfortable bedroom is always my first priority
This study area off the lounge has turned out very well…..

We are off to London on Monday – so next week’s blog will feature a fair bit of food – not least some fish and chips ! Any of you with fool proof anti jet lag tips please feel free to share them – going off on the trip already tired is not ideal – but I’m sure when we see family and friends it will be a lovely adrenaline shot.

Have a great weekend and I will be here as usual but blogging from London…..

Brian can always find a comfortable place to curl up – it’s what cats do right ?
