Yes dear readers great news that both The Potlatch Club and Tippy’s have reopened for the new season. Also I hear 1648 has reopened as well……
We went to The Potlatch Club for Sunday lunch and it was delicious. They have a new executive chef who is contributing to the kitchen there but will also be running Sip Sip in Harbour Island when it reopens. This is owned by Hans Febles at Potlatch.
We met James Hollenbach – the chef – and had a very interesting chat with him. It is important in any field to be open to new learning experiences and we never know who we are going to learn from. Keeping an open mind and an open heart go some way to accepting that learning from others is not a criticism – it is an opportunity. The food we had was delicious – the lunch menu has not changed yet but sometime in the next couple of weeks there will be new additions. Right now Potlatch is closed for 2 back to back weddings. It will reopen next Wednesday.

The team from Bhutan are back and making their magic at The Potlatch Club. They are such beautiful , kind and generous people – they are an inspiration……

The Glo Good Foundation along with Lenny Kravitz are back in Gregory Town making their own kind of magic as well. They transform not just the smiles of people that they treat but their spirits as well. The dental clinic is a huge success and there are wonderful experts in their various fields giving the highest quality dental treatments.
Because of the move for us I have not managed to get up to Gregory Town to see for myself what is happening but I have seen a lot of the postings and it looks fabulous. The atmosphere looks just as invigorating and inspiring as it always has been and we thank them hugely for all the good they are doing……
The house move went really pretty well – it is exhausting of course. And I have no idea where a lot of things actually are – but we are just fine and are managing perfectly well. It is lovely to have some pictures on the wall and I am gradually creating a nice feel here.

We are off to London on Monday – so next week’s blog will feature a fair bit of food – not least some fish and chips ! Any of you with fool proof anti jet lag tips please feel free to share them – going off on the trip already tired is not ideal – but I’m sure when we see family and friends it will be a lovely adrenaline shot.
Have a great weekend and I will be here as usual but blogging from London…..

“To be open to new learning experiences”: the staff of life.
You make me want to roll my linen outfits into a tight ball before sporting them…:you look so great.
The suspended Nook shelves: great design
Hm… trying to outsmart jet lag…start going to bed as early as you can manage and get up at 3 or 4.
Have a safe swim across and great trip K&B!
Thanks for the tips – I don’t want to miss out on eating and having fun with friends and family but I know we have to pace ourselves when we are first there !!
It’s too late for your trip but for future trips, check out Flykitt online. You could probably order it for delivery to an address in UK and use it for your return. I used it to go from LA to London and back and it worked. It’s a course of supplements and you put your flight number in and it syncs with your calendar to tell you what to take and when. Plus it comes with glasses to wear at certain times to block UV light. Genius!
I will definitely look into this – thanks so much ….
Your new home looks beautiful !!!
Love the window treatments in your bedroom. Wall color …everything lovely.
I haven’t been to Eleuthera in years but intend to. We used to come every winter at some point.
Thanks Lynne – I will write a blog later on about some of the things I have used in the house. I am so pleased with the blinds – they are readymade from West Elm and actually have a roller mechanism to take them up and down. You will be seeing more of them in the house !
Beautiful new home!
Safe travels!
Love and hugs to Bob and you,
Christina
