Great news that Sweet and Savory is up and running again – in it’s new location north of Governors Harbour just before Knowles Drive. So this is before Coco Di Momma – it is on the right hand side if you are driving north from GH.

There is a huge parking area in front of the truck so you can safely pull off the road and have plenty of space to turn round. Go to sweetandsavoryeleuthera.com to see a map showing their location as well as having the opportunity to order online what you would like to eat.

We had lunch from there this week – although I didn’t pre-order and it was very quick. Bob had a bacon and turkey wrap and I tried the rice bowl with grilled shrimp which was absolutely delicious. The prices remain amazingly good value – and as you know there are not that many places you can say that about in Eleuthera…..
If you are heading out to the beach this is ideal for a picnic or if you want to get lunch to eat at home or at work – preorder and just drive in to collect it.
They are open from Monday to Friday 10am until 3pm
It was great to see Stephanie and Chloe in the truck – fast efficient , healthy and tasty – what more can you ask for ?
It is very heartening to see that work had started up again at the old Burrows Foodstore. Whatever hiccups there may have been appear to be sorted so lets hope it is full steam ahead from now on until the projected opening in May.

How are you doing after the Daylight Saving changes at the weekend ? Personally I hate waking up and letting Rudge out in the dark at around 6a.m. I am counting the days until it is lighter at that time. Sunrise is around 7.15 am but of course it does start to get a bit lighter before then. It always takes a couple of weeks for me for my body to adjust to the time change – but it is no good moaning about it – we just have to suck it on up !
We had a wild and extremely windy day on Tuesday this week and a small boat actually flipped over in the harbour. Fortunately no-one was on the boat and as far as I know it still has not been removed yet. It just shows how quickly the weather can turn and cause damage……

Bob and I enjoyed a lovely lunch on Sunday at the Potlatch Club – Bob had the grouper fingers and sweet potato fries and I had the garlic shrimp in tomato sauce – one of my favorites as is the grouper fingers which I did also sample !

Not much else to tell you about this week although I need to mention that there were 2 incidents on Saturday night of joyriders taking a rental car and then crashing in to the bush. Apparently it was local kids who were caught – but do make sure that you lock up your vehicles – in both cases the keys were left inside the cars. At least take the keys out ….
So have a good weekend and take care of yourselves……
