Hello dear readers – yes we are back home in Eleuthera now.

It was a lovely trip that we had to London and beyond , but it is always so good to get back to sleep in your own bed and have your own things around you – don’t you think ?

This was taken in Richmond Park – just on the outskirts of London – the park is 2,500 acres and has 600 deer. Just a few here … It dates from around 800 years ago and was a favored hunting ground for Henry VIII. IHave driven through it many times but Sami and Billy took us for a comprehensive drive around the grounds – I was surprised at how large it is…

We spent the last few days back in Chiswick again eating until the last minute you won’t be surprised to hear ! We had a final meal with Cassius and his 3 children at a favorite Greek restaurant that he loves. We had such a laugh – Alba, the youngest used an app to show us how we look when we age – not that different to how we actually look now – but much funnier was seeing them as they aged !

This is an AI image with my head plonked on top of it – I can assure you that I have never had a singing career ! But funny …

Cass also took a picture of me and then used an app to show me as a fifties style singer – hilarious – airbrushed within an inch of my life ….. Teenagers can be such fun and we had a really wonderful evening with them all.

Thanks to all our family and friends for making it such a memorable trip – special memories…..

Bob wearing Indi’s jacket and Indi wearing Bob’s. Don’t ask why Indi was wearing a sheepskin jacket in August – he’s 19 !
A rustic setting at the Greek restaurant

But now we are back on island and catching up with jobs to be done – blah blah blah …..

Had to take a picture of these beautiful flowers on a stall in Chiswick

News that The Potlatch Club is closed now – it will re-open I think in late September but I will advise you all once I know more details……

Tippy’s closes on Saturday 31st August , along with Bacchus Fine Foods …… Re-opening dates not available just yet. It seems that French Leave Resort may stay open throughout the low season – but again more information when I have it.

The weather is beautiful at the moment – plenty of breeze – but we will be keeping a very careful eye on the storm systems just in case they are heading this way.

Take care of yourselves and if you are getting to spend time with family and friends then treasure every moment .

Just a couple of last photos then that’s it with the trip ….

Divine fish soup at Rick Stein’s restaurant – pour moi !
Also my main course – seafood linguine – fabulous but a tiny bit too much chill for me if I’m being honest. The others had good food but mine was the most photogenic!
You haven’t seen enough pictures of Billy – so here’s a good one .
Taking off from Heathrow to fly back to Eleuthera

  1. Can see the love of family through the smiles and laughter in your pictures. Hope you stay safe during the next season too
