Sad to tell you that Da Perk has closed down now in Governors Harbour. The building is going to be demolished – I think along with HG Christie – and then will be rebuilt.

Da Perk has been under the management of Horatio and his family for the last seven years and they have done a great job and it has been a very popular spot.

Before Horatio took over of course it was run by Harriet and Alistair who sold the business on and went traveling around the world. They spent quite a lot of time in Australia – where Alistair is from – and are currently sailing around the Mediterranean…..

Horatio as you may remember catered for the party for Carol at Snaresbrook Manor. You also may remember that she was not there as she broke her hip two days before – but the party went on anyway as Horatio had already bought and prepared the food already. The food was absolutely fantastic and I raved about it at the time.

He and his team do a fabulous job and I really hope that this is an opportunity for him to flourish in his career. If you need catering for either a special event like a party or even if you just want to have a lovely dinner party without having to lift a finger then he is your man. You can contact him on 242 805 2525…..

Thank you Horatio and Ashli for all the lovely times and food that you have given people at Da Perk – long may it continue in a new form…..

The Summer Camp has started – last week was literacy week – and now this week it is in full swing under the auspices and guidance of Dr Claire Verden and her team of teachers headed up by Hannah. It is a joy to see them all enjoying the stimulating and joyous activities that are organized for them.

They absolutely love it …..

Catching up on all the latest …..

We had dinner on Cupids Cay last week with Dan and Larry – 12 people in total all sitting down to Dan’s finest offerings and Larry’s beautifully laid table. It is not easy to cater for that number of folk but they both take it in their stride. Thank you to them as always for the pleasure that you bring by getting all these people together.

Angela and Deiter getting acquainted
Oh the anticipation !

Great carving of the pot roast done by Raymie
These vegetables cooked in with the pot roast were so incredibly full of taste ….
Now that’s what you call a tableful ….

Just have a happy weekend wherever you are – maybe watching Wimbledon in the UK – or celebrating anything you care to and try to include those who may be on their own and feeling slightly less joyful…..
