This week in Governors Harbour – what’s been happening apart from Bob’s birthday ? So Tuesday 29th September was Bob’s birthday and he had a mostly relaxing day…… Breakfast in bed, lots of birthday cards to open, including one from Sami his daughter – except when he opened it – it was a Father’s Day card – posted in London on JUNE 6th !! I know the mail round here is not that good but really ! One of my favorite pastimes when I am in London or any big city for that matter and I am on my own is spending a good amount of time stocking up on good and or funny birthday cards. Nothing like being able to send the perfect card to someone from your secret store !
Anyway Bob had an easy start to the day , one of his birthday presents was an Alexander palm tree which was planted that morning under his supervision…. Lunch was at home – a bacon sandwich using bacon from the UK that his son Cassius bought out with him in March – don’t worry it has been in the freezer ! A couple of hours in the office then relaxing at home before going out to dinner with friends at 1648 ….. Bless you – the management at French Leave for deciding to stay open throughout the down season – every time we go we are delighted to see how many people are still around and using the place…….
We met up with Krista and Anthony Santanello and Tom Mesce for the birthday treat. The food was delicious – we all ate the catch of the day – fresh grouper with mash and fresh vegetables followed by a terrific chocolate cake complete with candles – the drink flowed well and a good time was had by all……
Wednesday saw the seas and the winds whipping up – because of a possible visit from Joaquin – hurricane or tropical storm ? – not sure yet but happy if you pass us by. The tides are extremely high at the moment anyway – we always call them spring tides but throughout the US I think they are referred to as king tides. Of course we have just witnessed the spectacular blood moon and eclipse which is the main reason why the tides are so high. So we watch and wait and prepare ……..

First of all, happy birthday to Bob. A palm tree is such a great present. We understand that you have survived Joaquin, and we are very grateful that the wonderfully strong people of the Bahamas have defeated another challenger. Cheers.
Many thanks…..
Dear Dr . BACCUS,
I hope you are feeling well this days. My name is Ismael Ramos Soler from Puerto Rico. I got a treatment from you several years ago for a sciatica pain. It was a miracle going to your office. I came in almost pulling myself into the office with a debilitating and deep pain and came out walking with no pain. I cannot go to your office now but I am asking if it is possible to know what treatment did you use so I can refer it to a natural/acupunture doctor in my area. I am willing to pay for the information because I am again in pain and cannot get over it. You were the best Dr. On earth.
